CHECKMATE
Nowadays, it is more apparent than ever that propaganda, misinformation and fake news have the potential to polarise public opinion, to promote violent extremism, hate speech and, ultimately, to undermine democracies and reduce trust in the democratic processes. Check Mate seeks to train adults of any social, age, religious, economic and ethnic background, paying special attention to vulnerable and marginalised groups, to be able to critically filter, investigate sources, fact-check content, and categorise all information received, turning chaos into critical and analytical capacities.
