DIGI-METER

The DIGI-METER - Measuring Digital Competence for Resilient Learning Ecosystems project aims to improve the way digital competence is assessed across European education systems. It translates the DigComp 2.2 framework into practical, measurable, and adaptable tools for schools and vocational education, with potential scalability to adult learning. The project develops AI-powered and self-assessment instruments, co-designed with educators, learners, and policy authorities. It places strong emphasis on multilingual access, interoperability, GDPR compliance, explainability, and alignment with the EU AI Act. Through pilots in five EU countries, DIGI-METER tests its tools for usability, reliability, fairness, equity, and inclusion, while producing open-access toolkits, a DigComp-aligned indicator matrix, and policy-ready resources for education authorities and quality assurance bodies.
